Math Pentathlon - Silver Medalist

Aiden has been attending the math club after school for division 1 including K and First Grade. He has been practicing on 5 games: Calla, Star Trek, Hexa Gone, Shape Up and Quads. The purpose is to show him that it is OK to lose as he takes lost seriously and gets mad afterwards. So we signed him up for the Pentathlon. He won the two games but lost on Calla which is the third game. He got so upset and didn't want to continue. The division leader from his school talked him back to the game and he was so excited when he won the last two games and won silver medal. He got pretty shy when Mom asked him what if you had quit after the lost.

Legoland Day 2

Florida in April could get really warm. It was great time to do the water play in the hot weather. Last time it was winter time when we were in Legoland and water park was closed down for th season. This time we spent a nearly 6 hours just in the water park doing water slides, jumping over the waves in the wave pool, floating and relaxing in the lazy river and kids can play big foam lego while floating. 

Boat Ride

Grandparents' friends in Florida was nice enough to take our family for a fun boat ride. The boat ride even took us to the lake where Legoland water show. Luckily we saw two performers were training on the lake. Free watershow! Aiden really enjoyed the fast ride as he thought it was exciting when the boat rode on the wave.

Legoland Day 1

Kids really liked the Legoland last year. So we went back to Legoland as it is so close to Grandparents' house. There were a lot more people in the park this time as it is Spring Break. Kids liked the rides especially Mia. Daddy and Mia did he boat school ride together and she wouldn't even let Dad touch the steering wheel. This year Aiden was also old enough to do the big kid driving school. 

Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter falls on Sunday during the Spring Break. We did egg hunting in Grandpa and Grandma's backyard. Kids collected many candies and some surprises for their piggy banks - coins!

Pool, Pool, Pool

Aiden's most favorite part of the spring break is to spend time in the pool inside the Grandparents' community. He loved to jump inside the pool like cannonball jump, spinning jump, straight jumping. He did it over and over again. Mia also liked to swim around the pool with the noodles. It seemed we just can't get enough time for the pool.

Spring Break - Clearwater Beach

We spent a great day at Clearwater Beach. It is such a great family beach with soft white sand. Kids really enjoyed the ocean. They were jumping over the waves, building sandcastles, decorating the sandcastles with sea shells and sea weed. Mommy also had great time and just relax on the beach and watch kids play.

Playing in Grandparents' Backyard

Grandpa and Grandma Zeigler got kids bubble for Easter. The kids had fun with blowing bubbles and chasing the bubble. Mia also liked to pick up Grandma's sea shells and put by her ear to listen to the whistle.

Aiden's First Springbreak - Minigolf

This is Aiden's first springbreak and it is our family's first time to travel during the spring break. We have planned to go to Florida to visit Grandpa and Grandma Zeigler to have some warm pool time, beach time and go back to the Legoland. After neary 20 hours drive with four stops for food and bathroom break, we finally made it to Florida. The traffic jam has been terrible around Nashville and Atlanta. It was still worth of the drive as the weather was very nice in Florida. The next morning, we decided to stay around Grandpa and Grandma's house to play some mini golf as Mommy and Daddy are still pretty tired from long hour drive. Aiden and Mia really liked mini golf and they are self entertained.

 

Nurses' Visit at Daycare

Mia's daycare has invited nurse to her room to show the kids some healthy habit. They also showed them how to measure their head, listen to the heart. The teacher mentioned all the kids were quite thrilled by the nurses' visit.

Easter Egg Hunting at Mia's Daycare

Daddy and I went to Mia's Easter egg hunting at her daycare. Even though each kid was told to pick up only 10 eggs, they were pretty much like wild horse and running all over the classroom and hunted as many eggs as they could.

 

Legos, Legos and Legos

Aiden has been playing legos since 2 starting with Lego duplo. Now he has been into the small piece set and can do the lego sets under 300 pieces with very very little help from us. He can sit there for 2 hours straight to work on his legos. Great investment if Mommy and Daddy wants some Aiden free time. :)

To celebrate Dr. Seuss's b-day and St. Patrick day, Aiden has been working on his art during art class at school. It would have been much nicer if he could have finished coloring it. But they still look decent.
