We spent Aiden's second memorial day weekend with grandparents Zeigler. He enjoyed playing with cousin Audrey so much. Before she went home, Aiden gave her a big hug. That was sooooo sweet!

Kisses

On the past Saturday, Matt was holding Aiden and out of nowhere, Aiden gave a big kiss on Daddy's cheek. Since then, he has been really enjoying giving kisses. That was a nice gift from him to me for mother's day. :)))

Walk, walk and walk

Since his first b-day when he started to practice on walking, lil Aiden has been walking, walking and walking. The best time he can walk from kitchen to my bedroom without falling. That is about 20 feet. Recently, he likes to dump everything out of the box and put them back in over and over again. Also during the daycare drop off, he would wave byebye to me if he is in good mood!

Aiden's one year birthday party

We had Aiden's one year birthday party on Saturday March 13th, two days after Aiden's birthday. We had all Matt's family and two of my friends here. We made an all-star sport birthday cake for Aiden since it matched his b-day party scene. Here is the cake. (This is my first to decorate a cake). Aiden's cousin Audrey also made a special cupcake for him.

Here I comes - walking

On the day of his 1st birthday, he decided to practice on his walking. He took a couple of steps, then he got down on his hands and feet on the floor and got back up to get his balance back and took another few steps. The most steps he took alone was 6. He did that over and over again for about 10 times. And this morning when I dropped him to daycare, we walked halfway from the car to the entry door and then from entry door to his room!

One Year Check-Up Stats

Aiden weighs 20lbs 9oz (19%), measures 30.25'' (67%) and head is 45cm (14%) at one-year check up. Even so, he still gets called as big boy in daycare.

Need to get busy with planning Aiden's first b-day

In less than two weeks, my little man will turn 1 year old. Matt and I need to get busy this weekend on planning his b-day party and buying party supplies and decorations.

Aiden is sick again after one week sickness-free

Aiden started running nose and coughing the past Sunday and developed fever since Monday. And yesterday he stayed at home with me and his eyes started having discharge and got pinky. So I thought he also got eye infection, possibly pink eyes. I took him into the doc's office again (4th trip to doc's office since the beginning of this year) and he did have one ear infection, sinus infection and eye infection. But at least lung sounded good. He started amox again tonight for another 10 days. It seems that his sickness during the winter has been nonstop.....

Recovering from Hives

Out of nowhere, I came down with horrible hives this Monday night and Tuesday was the worst day. I have been on steroid for four days and it seems to be working well. I haven't got any single breakout today so far. KNOCK ON WOOD!! Keep my finger crossed that it wouldn't come back after I stop the steroid.

Almost full day at young toddler's room

Yesterday morning during the daycare drop-off, I was told that Aiden could be dropped at young toddler's room. He ate all his AM and PM snack and lunch (spaghetti, peaches and corn) mostly on his own. When he was done with his lunch, he got up his chair, leaned on the table and tried to reach other kids' lunch. Hungry boy!! He also slept about an hour on the cot. Finally he returned to infant's room around 3pm since he was exhausted and needed some rocking and cuddling. The teacher thought he did pretty well as being the youngest one there! We are pround parents!!

Aiden is sick again

After one week recovering from ear infection, he started terrible coughing. I learned that one child from his daycare in his room had RSV, so it is likely Aiden might have it too. I took him to doctor's office today since he developed fever since last night. But for now, we will watch his fever for the weekend. If fever still persists next Monday, he will probably have x-ray to check his lung. Hopefully he will feel better soon.

Aiden took his first steps!!

Yesterday was my b-day. Aiden gave me a big surprise gift. He took his first steps without any support!! I was playing with the camera and trying to take some pictures. He was about a foot away from me. He got up to standing position and took two steps to reach out for me since he wants to touch the camera. Anyways, it was a pretty good b-day gift for me!

One snowstorm after another

We just had one snowstorm last Friday and had about 8 inches snow. Today, we have another one and we are expecting another 4-8 inches snow. Might have to pick up Aiden a little earlier if the daycare decides to close down early. We can't wait for the warm weather!!!

Cutting first tooth?

Aiden woke up this morning with 100.8 degree. I thought he was not completely over from his ear infection about a week ago. So I took him to the doctor's office and got his ears checked up. They looked good and lung sounded good too. So I asked doctor to check his gum since it looked a little irritated but I couldn't feel the teeth. She touched the gum and told me that she could feel one of the bottom incisors cutting out. And she thinks sometimes kids get diarrhea or low grade fever less than 101 from teething. Hopefully we will see those lil teeth come out soon and they would be Aiden's FIRST tooth. He is three days short of 11-month old!!

New teachers at daycare

Aiden's favoriate teacher at daycare left for a new career last Friday. This morning during drop off, two brand-new teachers were there. Hopefully he will do well with new teachers.

Mom's B-day dinner

It is not my official b-day yet, but since it is on Tuesday, we decided to go out to Joe Crab Shack to have b-day dinner on the weekend before my b-day. Seafood is my favoriate food in the whole world!! Aiden enjoyed watching waitresses dance.

Aiden is moving up to young toddler's room

Yesterday when I picked up Aiden at daycare, the teachers asked me if I am ok with moving Aiden up to young toddler's room before his first birthday since they think he is ready in terms of motor skills and some self feeding skills. Aiden seems to enjoy playing with older kids who are more mobile and have more skills. Per teachers, he is very happy when older kids around. Right now, they start having him stay in young toddler's room for a few hours a day before the final transition. My lil boy is growing up!!
