New Year Eve 2015

We spent our last day of 2015 by strolling around the downtown Savannah streets. The city added more playground in the parks and there is a nice playground in the Forsyth Park where kids spent most of the morning there. For the rest of afternoon, we just walked around the streets, checked out some of the city squares.

Legoland - Day 2

We watched a spectacular fireworks in Legoland. We had to wear 3D glasses to see the special effect the fireworks which we can see all the Lego bricks through the 3D glasses. We went back to Legoland the next day but it was very warm and hit 88 record high. Mia finally did Royal Joust ride which she couldn't do in April due to age limit. She thought it was fun to ride the horse. Both kids also did Duplo farm train ride together.

Common Playground Park

After googling the playground around Winter Haven, we found a really nice playground that is covered with faux grass carpet and rubber. It even has a little white sand beach. The kids spent more than 2 hours in the park in the heat and still didn't want to leave. They loved to slide down the hills on the faux grass. Mia also loved to climb the "mountain".

Bok Tower Garden

Five years ago we visited Bok Tower garden when Aiden was not even two years old. We are back to garden this winter and we did Pinewood Estate holiday house tour which was fun for the kids too as they did faux squirrel hunt in each room. Both kids found all the squirrels and received a cookie for reward. They also enjoyed feeding the big fish, running up and down the hills.

Aiden also did better job in the big kid driving school, stopped at stop sign, watched for the traffic lights. There was a giant Lego Xmas tree that used more than 500,000 Lego bricks. Kids spent a lot of in Lego imagination zone to build their cars and tested the speed on the racing ramp.

Children's Museum of Lowcountry

It is very rainy morning in Charleston. It poured!! We had to do some indoor activities with kids. There is a small Children's museum of Lowcountry. It is in an old one-story building. It has medieval castle, art room, golf ball, water play, pirate ship and grocery store. Even it is small, kids still has a lot of fun and spent the whole morning here.
