Finally the Trick or Treat Night

After all kinds of Halloween related activities, we finally reached the Halloween night. We went to the neighbor's party followed by the trick or treat. The temperature was not cold but the rain scattered during the whole time of trick or treat. However that didn't stop the goblins and both of them came home with a bag of candy and both are high of sugar!

Haunted Trail

Mia's gymnastics place has a haunted trail tonight. We thought it was more like trick or treat but it turned out to be a completely surprised. We got taken into the woods that were decorated with creepy ghosts, skeletons, spiders.... Miss Mia wasn't really scared but Aiden thought it was creepy. He took pretty serious when a witch told him that she  was cooking bat soup. He got shocked when a werewolf comes out behind a tree and said hi to him. In the end, we had some delicious s'mores and had hay ride.

Halloween Themed Activities at School

The daycare has been doing Halloween themed craft, games and reading. Mia liked to make spider web with cotton balls.

Halloween Bingos at Daycare

Mia played Halloween bingo games with candy corn at school and also had sweet treat!

Marco The Monkey Comes Home

Marco is a classroom monkey. He gets sent home with students to award good behavior at school. Aiden finally gets him home. He did homework with him, read curious George book to him and played go fish game with him. Finally they went to bed together. Aiden also wrote down his night with Marco and will share with his class tomorrow. Even Mia was so happy to take pictures with Marco!

Swimming Class at CHS

We switched Aiden's swimming class to Carmel High School as they offer fairly good quality swimming class. It is our first time to visit swimming center at CHS. It is a big facility and has 24 swimming lanes. There are so many swimmers for training or swimming club. It is a group class but it was only 1:2 ratio.

Last Outdoor Soccer

Tonight we had our last session of outdoor soccer training as the weather starts getting chilly in the early evening hours. It was a beautiful night and kids had a lot of fun playing on to grass. Aiden even scored two goals!

First Time Haunted House

Aiden has been requesting to visit the haunted house in Children's museum. We took both kids to the least scary one - pirate revenge. There were still a lot of skeletons, skulls and sea monsters. It does get a little dark at some spots. Aiden was a little scared at some places but walked through the whole thing and in the end he thought it was fun. There was a dark tunnel and it has spinning blue lights and it feels like ocean current and we did get a little dizzy walking through it. Mia thought she was going to fall so she decided to crawl through it.

Cork Board Transformation

We have been putting kids' art on the wall with tape. It looked a little shaggy. So we bought two cork boards for 28 dollars and another yard of fabric to decorate the ugly cork board for 11 dollars. They turned out pretty nice and kids' art work look good on them too. We also spray painted another frame and glued cork sheet on the backer board to display kids' art work.

Fun in the Brown County State Park

The Brown County State Park has nickname of Little Smoky because of its colorful fall foliage. It usually peaks around mid to late October. But due to the drought we have since mid summer, the color isn't that great. But it was still fun place for kids. We did some short trail hiking, climbed the fire tower, rolled down to the hills and of course playground as always!

On the way, we stopped by  a little crafty town called Nashville where there are many arts and crafts shop. Of course we had to stop by the Nashville House for their fried biscuit and apple butter.

ZooBoo is Back

Our Batman and Anna went to the zoo for the annual ZooBoo event. The weather was in the low 60s and can't be more perfect. We tossed the spiders into the giant spider web, did pumpkin bowling (Mia got strike), jumped in the bouncing house, decorated the cookies, did trick or treat. We event saw orangutan walked on the wire up in the air which we have never seen since they came to the zoo.

Aiden's First College Football Game

Daddy got tickets for IU football vs Rutgers. He decided to take Aiden to the game as Aiden has never been to one. Again his favorite part was dipping dots and popcorn!

Halloween Costume Tryout

Mia picked out Anna carnation costume and Aiden wanted to be a batman this year. They tried on their costume and looked great! They can't wait for trick or treat.
