After we got back from orchard, we jumped into pumpkin carving as Aiden has been asking for Jack the Lantern. Aiden picked up the mean face and Mia picked up the silly face. After they are carved, we put the candles in and turned off all the lights. Kids thought they were spooky. Guess this is kids' pre-Halloween experience.

Fun at Anderson Orchard
Every year we come to Anderson Orchard for Apple pricking. This year we also visited pumpkin patch and picked two small pumpkins as Aiden has been requesting for Jack the Lantern. It is also season for chestnut picking but kids didn't seem to care that much. They did like apple picking and after taste test we picked up Fuji, golden delicious and Joanathan. Kids also liked the playground.

Outdoor Experience
We have never been to Fort Harrison State Park and this year we heard about their annual outdoor experience event, we went to check it out and it was a big hit. We did hiking, rolling down the big hill, catching little fish, grasshopper. We even did canoe for the first time for both Aiden and Mia. Aiden said he really liked canoe. Kids also had fun with checking out local nature life, snakes, eagle, turtle, insects.

Party Time
Mia was invited to birthday parties two weekends in a row. These are the first time she went to her school friend party. She was very excited to play with her friend outside the school. The first one was in Chuck n Cheese where she had blast playing games and playing on the playground. The second one was in a toy and bookstore where they played group games and some pretend-play.

Enjoy the Harvest in Our Backyard
Grandparents Li have started the garden in late April. They planted cucumbers, eggplants, green beans, long beans, squash and tomatoes. Mia has been really enjoying picking up the tomatos off the vine and eating them. She also took the squash off the vine and insisted on taking picture of her holding the squash.
