Finish Our West Coast Trip at LA

We flied home from LAX in the later afternoon. We had a whole morning to spend in LA. We went to the civic square where kids can play in the playground which is quite hard to find inside the city. Then we headed to Grand Market to have some delicious lunch and fresh fruits to end our 2-week long trip.

Last Day at San Francisco

At the last day in SF, we rode the street car from civic center all the way to the piers. We walked around the piers, checked out the farmer market, just wandered around and enjoyed pretty weather and ocean view in SF bay.

San Francisco Day 2

On day 2 in SF, we went to Alamo square where we can overlook part of SF downtown and famous 7 painted ladies. There was a very nice small playground that Aiden and Mia really enjoyed. Then we rode the bus to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was windy and foggy. We walked about 1/3 way on the bridge and had to head back as it was quite chilly. After the bridge we went to the Palace of Fine Art where kids loved to run around and collected feathers from seagulls and pigeons. Then we headed to beach area, watched big cargo ship pass by. Kids chased around each other and played tagging.

San Francisco - Day 1

Our last stop of west coast trip was San Francisco. On the first day, we took famous cable car to Fisherman's wharf after waiting in the cable car station for nearly an hour. San Francisco was packed with tourists. At Fisherman's wharf, we visited a few piers and watched sea lions at Pier 39. For lunch we had clam chowder in sour dough, steamed crabs and fried seafood combo. It was delicious. Kids loved to sit on the bench overseeing the bay and having yummy icecream. Then we walked a few blocks road to get to the top of "the crookest street". The few blocks weren't that far but the hills had made the walk very difficult especially we had to push Mia on the stroller as she was napping. Aiden decided to run all the way but we did hold him down at each intersection to catch some breath. But the view from top o the crookest street was amazing. In the evening, we went to China town and kids had fun trying out some hats, visiting stores and had great Chinese food for dinner.

Hollywood

We had a few hours to spare in Hollywood and stopped by the Hollywood Boulevard. The only thing kids showed a little interest was the hand and foot prints in front of Chinese threater. They also saw some Disney character star on walk of fame.

Disneyland Day 2 - Disney Resort

Second day, we went to Disney resort. The first ride we did was finding Nemo submarine ride. This is unique ride that we went underwater and saw colorful reefs and finding nemo shows. Even though we waited for nearly 50 minutes but it was worth it. For lunch time we got sit down and watch junior Jedi training. We watched the afternoon Mickey parade and electrical parade in the evening. Mia's favorite ride was Winnie the Pooh and she got a pooh among all the choices of stuffed animals. Aiden got the Buzz from Toy Story.
