Last Snack of 2014

Kids stayed up a little later than usual on new year eve night and had their last snack of 2014. It has been quite a year for us. We took a long trip to China. Aiden started kindergarten, Mia started preschool and Mommy changed the job. Overall it has been a decent and busy year for us!

Energy Burning on New Year Eve Day

Since we haven't gone to playground for quite a while due to winter weather, we found a place that has an indoor playground which has slides, swings, tree houses, giant train tables, trampolines and basketball court. Kids loved jumping in the trampolines. Aiden spent a lot of time shooting hoops with Dad and Mia did swing for a long time. It was a great place to burn out energy for kids.

Jolly Day at Children's Museum

The day after Xmas, we headed to Children's museum for the Jolly day. Mia loved the cookies baking sessions and she served the cookie for an old nice lady. The frosty the snowman also shows up and Mia wanted to check him out but immediately ran away when he waved at her. It was quite hilarious to see her run away from "real" snowman.

Our 2014 Gingerbread Houses

Except the big gingerbread house mommy and Aiden decorated together, each kid did their own at school and daycare. Mommy helped Aiden and Daddy helped with Mia. It was fun to make gingerbread house together with kids!

Two Sickies

The first day of winter break, we have two really sick kids at the same time. Both came down with cough and high fever. They were not feeling good at all on the first two days of bad cold.

Christmas Lights at Zoo

The temperature hit 50s this Sunday night. It is a great time to see annual Christmas lights at the zoo. Kids loved to see the animal shaped lights and of course the playground.

In addition to the art specials once a week at school, Aiden is also learning how to make arts on Saturday in an art studio as he said he really loves art. Here are some art works from school and weekend art class.

Mia's First Movie

We took Aiden to his first movie in the movie theater when he was around 4 and we watched turbo movie about snail races cars. The day after Thanksgiving, we also took Mia to her first trip to movie theater and we watched penguin Madagascar. She did really well and only stood up a couple of times during the movie. She giggled a lot when the penguins was acting funny.

Happy Birthday Daddy

We celebrated Daddy's b-day today. The big question from Aiden was why there was only one candle on the cake. The answer is we will need a big cake to hold all candles for Daddy's age. Kids loved ice cream cake. Aiden was a little upset as he has celebrated both Daddy and Mia's b-day and can't wait for his b-day.
