Fun Time in Children Museum

Mia woke up with slight fever but she seemed to feel a lot better than yesterday morning as she was playful today. She took some motrin and we decided to take the kiddos to children museum for some fun time as they have been stuck inside the house due to the sickness, cold and snowy weather. Mia had a lot of fun wandering around, checking out the dinosaur tunnel and bear playhouse. As always, Aiden's favorite is still hot wheels and trains. We also did Jolly day slide and Mia really liked it as she giggled while sliding down.

More Snow

After blizzard, we got more snow about 4-5 inches last night. Daddy and Aiden bundled up and went outside to play with snow and Aiden rode on the sled. Poor little Mia woke up very cranky and it turned out she got a fever of 101.5. We felt lucky that she didn't get sick from Aiden's sickness, but unfortunately she didn't escape from it. So she had to stay inside with Mommy. We got some snow pictures but couldn't really get any picture of Aiden playing in the snow as Daddy got handful. But it was quite funny to see him play in the deep snow, fall down and get covered with snow. He even tried to shovel the snow.

Blizzard on the Day after Christmas

We woke up with a lot of snow outside. The visibility was so low as the snow was still blowing when Aiden woke up so he said it was foggy outside and then realized it was heavy snow. He wanted to go outside to play with snow. But it was so windy and cold outside and he still had fever. But he finally felt much better today despite the fever.  His spirit was definitely up. Mia had rough night because she got pretty stuffy nose too. Since we were stuck inside and we decided to play with all the Christmas presents. Mommy and Aiden played the real life angry bird and Mia found it was very intriguing to knock down the bricks and pigs by her hands rather than with the birds. We also did quite a bit angry bird coloring and Aiden really enjoyed it.

Christmas Day 2012

MI gotWe had rough Christmas Eve night. Towards the end of fun time at Uncle Jason's house, he seemed to be very fatigue. Mommy checked on his forehead and he felt warm. Aunt Kim gave him some tylenol to get him through the 2 hour ride back home. Then by the bed time, he started coughing pretty bad and temperature went up to 102.3. So he took some motrin and went to bed. Then around 3:30 on Christmas morning, he woke up from really bad coughing and cried. So mommy went in and heard him saying yucky yucky. And mommy found he vomitted from bad coughing and gagging on his drainage. Of course, motrin wore off and had to give him another motrin. Daddy took him to take a hot shower to wash off the vomit. For the rest of night, he stayed next to Mommy and coughed on and off for the rest of evening. We did all sleep in on Christmas morning close to 9 am. Aiden seems to be doing better. He still has a lot of drainage and coughing and fever. But he doesn't seem to feel too bad. He went downstairs and checked under the trees and begged for opening the presents. So we got everybody downstairs and Aiden again was eager to rip off every box including Mia's. He got angry bird puzzle, angry bird playset and color book from Grandpa and Grandma Zeigler, got a plush red angry bird that makes sound from Mia, Jake and never land book and drawing board from Santa and remote control car and bunch of hot wheels from Daddy and Mommy. Mia got Dora doll, step stool and Dora pillow from Grandpa and Grandma Zeigler, got a soccer ball from big brother Aiden and musical mirror from Mommy and Daddy. After we opened every gift, we were busy with playing with them and had a lot of fun drawing on the board, playing the angry bird set and puzzles.

Christmas Eve 2012

We spent our Christmas Eve at Uncle Jason and Aunt Kim's house. Aiden had a lot of fun with cousin Grant and Audrey playing trains, watching some cartoons. Mia was quite curious to be in new place, and wandering around their basement with a toy in her hand. When it came to present time, Aiden couldn't wait to rip off the wrapping paper for his presents and his little sister Mia's.  Aiden got a very cool truck with trailer and motorcycle and guess what?? Of course he slept with his truck on Christmas Eve. He also got a peter pan book and very cute monkey PJ sets. Mia was too young to get the idea of gifts, but she definitely liked to play with the wrapping paper. She got a very nice pink and warm blanket with Cinderella, sleeping beauty prints. Grandpa and grandma Zeigler also saw the kids open their presents on the webcam.

Ginger Bread House

Aiden made a ginger bread house using crackers, sugar candy cane, skittles and icing. He was quite proud to show mommy during pick up on Friday. He indeed did decent job on his house.

Fun with Shopping

We scheduled a one year portrait for Mia but unfortunately she was not cooperating at all. Everytime she got camera flash, she cried pretty bad. So we were only able to get a family of four picture. But after the portrait, we went to had a lot of fun for shopping. First stop was grocery store where Aiden and Mia rode the car shaped cart together. Second stop was mall for some Christmas gift. In the mall, the kids had a lot of fun coloring in the candy house.
