"Cat" in the Hat

I bought two Dr. Seuss's t-shirts for Aiden. They were soooo cheap (paid 69 cents each) and sooooo cute. One has the body of cat in the hat reading book, so Aiden's head was the cat head and the other has the body of grinch. Aiden wore the one with cat in the hat to daycare this week and got a lot of compliments. Grinch one is still too big (3T) for him right now.

Fun Day at Children's Museum

We went to Children's Museum early this morning. It was quite nice for Aiden when there weren't too many people since he didn't have to wait for his turn to play or have to share the toys. :P

1. Roar, Roar, Dinosaur

2. Crocodile hunter

3. Measuring fruits and veggies

4. Race car driver

Car Show

Aiden's most favoriate toy is cars, all kinds of cars. He has a whole box of cars and he likes to line them up and shows off all his property. Maybe someday he will open his own garage. :))

One Day at National Air Force Museum

Today is MLK day and I am off work. I took Aiden to Dayton, Ohio to visit National Air Force Museum with Grandparents Li. Matt and I used to live in Dayton for a few years before we move to Indy. This is first time for Aiden, Grans and Grams to visit the national biggest air force museum. Aiden is always excited to see the airplane in the sky when we walk, but he was definitely surprised to see so many airplanes, fighter planes, helicopters and rockets on the ground. He really enjoyed playing with the model airplane on the string and looking inside the airplane.

1. Outside USAF museum

2. In the early years gallery

3. Watching the illustration of "resistance"

4. Operating the helicopter

5. Playing the airplane on the string

One world, one sky

We took Aiden to Children Museum yesterday and this was actually our first time to visit there during the day instead of evenings. We finally caught the show in the planetarium theater called "One world, one sky". The show is hosted by Big Bird, Elmo, and Hu Hu Zhu (a pig character who lives in China). They introduce the Sun, Moon, and stars and learn about the Big Dipper and the North Star. They take an imaginary trip to the Moon where they learn that the Moon is a very different place from the Earth. When Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu use their imaginations to return to Earth, they celebrate the idea that even though they live in two different countries, they still share the same sky. The show also teaches about shapes and Chinese. Aiden did fairly well during the half an hour show. He did get a little scared while the night time came and the theater was really dark. But he showed curiosity when Elmo and big bird showed up in the sky. Daddy said if Aiden does well with this show, maybe he can take him to watch "Car II" since Aiden loves the first "Car" cartoon at home. But Mommy still thinks Aiden is too young for that since the theater could be really loud and dark. We shall see.

Piano Man

This is the video that Aiden was "playing" piano in Lakeland children museum while we were in Florida. He even flipped the music notes book while playing. He really liked the piano maybe I have a future piano man??

Shovel Snow

We just had another inch snow. Grandpa Li went out to shovel the driveway since Dad is out of town on business trip. Aiden "helped" with shoveling using his little shovel and bucket that Grandparents Zeigler got him for his sand play while we were in Florida.

1. Picking up the snow with little shovel

2. Transporting the snow to the bucket

3. Dumping the snow into bucket

Somersault

This video was taken about a month ago. Aiden came back from daycare and started doing somersault. He could do forward somersault halfway on the soft bed. Go, future gymnast!

New Year, New Skill and New Word

I can't believe it is 2011 already. In a little over two months, Aiden will be 2 years old. Where did time go?? Anyway, tonight I played the ball with Aiden after dinner. I threw the ball to him and he caught it without bouncing. Yay! Then I threw the ball again and said "catch". Aiden said "catch" pretty clearly but he missed the ball. We also did some great exercise - spin, stomp, jump, rub belly and pat the head. It was a great night.
