Thanksgiving Dinner
Jason,Kim,Grant and Audrey came to Indy for Thanksgiving dinner. We ordered a traditional turkey dinner including an 18 lbs turkey, 1.5 lbs mashed potato and gravy. We also made stuffing out of the box, stir-fried potato with onion, pig in the blanket and dinner rolls. Yummy truffle, Grant's chocolate b-day cake and Kim's delicious cookies for dessert. It was a great dinner and everybody had fun time together.

Speaking Chinese
Due to the time change and winter approaching, it is getting dark around 6 o'clock. But we still take Aiden out for a walk after dinner. Of course, he saw moon and stars. I taught him say moon and stars in Chinese. Yue liang for moon and xing xing for stars. He did fairly descent job. Yay!

Orange, Apple, Yuck!
Last week daycare has been teaching kids about fruits, veggetables and taste. This morning I was packing orange and apple into my lunch bag. Aiden wanted to touch them and I asked him to say the "orange" and "apple". He spoke both words pretty well especially apple. Then he saw a carrot in the fridge and wanted to eat it. His first bite was on the stem part and immediately he grinned his face and said "YUCK". He is definitely applying his knowledge learned from daycare to the real world life. :-)

Play in the park
We took Aiden to the park near our home three days in the row since the nice warm days are finally coming to the end. Aiden really loves this park. He does baby tractor slide, the bigger and longer pipe slides, bouncing horse and climbind up and down the big hills all by himself. We think he will be a really good hiker when he is older. While we were walking in the park today, there was a big dog ran towards Aiden. He was really calm about it. We got really scared since we thought the dog would knocked him down. The owner of the dog even asked us if we had a dog at home since he was surprised that Aiden wasn't scared of that big dog at all.

Calling Daddy
This morning, I called Matt to check when he will be home from business trip. After I hung up, Aiden grabbed the phone and punched the number (keypad was locked) and then put on his ear saying "Hi Daddy". I guess he is really missing his dad even though he can't really say it.

Little helper
Yesterday Aiden was the last one in his room to get picked up. There was a special note from his teacher in his cubbie. It says "Aiden has used one of his life skills very well today. He was very respectful to teacher and help teacher pick up the toys around the room. He used his listening ears and did the right thing!". Mommy and Daddy are very proud of Aiden!!
Another two-word phrase
We got Aiden two maters from garage sale this summer. One talks and goes forward, the other spins around. Aiden loves the one that spins around, but he doesn't really know how to be gentle with it. This morning, he threw it to the floor since the switch wasn't on. I took it away from him and of course he threw the tantrum at me and screamed "my car" clearly.

Gorgeous weather in November
The weather has been gorgeous and usually warm for this time of the year. The last couple of days, we had upper 60s and lower 70s as high. For the rest of the week, the high will be in the lower 70s. We wish we didn't have to work and get out with Aiden to have some outdoors fun!! Of course, the temperature will go down to the lower 50s on the weekend. YIKES!!! Good thing is that Aiden has spent a lot of time outdoors both at daycare and at home with Grandparents.

Family Reunion
My parents came to the States for another visit since October. Matt's family all came to Indianapolis on the weekend for family fun time. Cousins Grant and Audrey had so much fun playing on Aiden's playset in the backyard. Aiden also loved to chase them and climbed up and down the playset.

Hair Cut
Saturday evening, Dad gave Aiden a haircut. The last haircut went quite well since we let him watch his favoriate cartoon "Cars" during the haircut. He sat still and didn't cry at all. This time, as soon as he saw Daddy take out the trimmer, he tried to run away from him and Cars cartoon didn't do the trick either. He cried and told Daddy "No, Daddy" which broke Daddy's heart. But in the end, he looked neater with short hair!

Freezing Rain
The temperature suddenly dropped since Thursday evening. This Friday noon, we got a little freezing rain. This is the first time Aiden has ever seen freezing rain. He was very curious about the stuff that dropped off the sky. He stood in the front yard and enjoyed watching the freezing rain come down. Of course, he was bundled up like Eskimo.

Happy eater
Since grandparents Li got here, Aiden has been eating a lot of chinese veggie noodles and rice. He can use both spoon and folk if he wants to, but most of time he thinks those silverwares are not as efficient as his hands.
1. Soooo delicious!
3. Half way through my whole bowl of noodles

New words!
Over the weekend, Aiden has just learned a few new words: apple, cracker and help. He could pronounce apple and help fairly well. Cracker was a little difficult for him, he says it more like "kaker".
